Fair Isle is a traditional knitting technique used to create patterns with color. This weave pattern takes time, patience, and an experienced attention to detail to shape and work the pattern just right. Each basket takes days of careful work to complete, but the result is a true work of art that will last for generations. The Masters Studio Collection offered the highest-quality baskets that involved very difficult skills or intricate weave designs. Each was an unusual work of art, and the Snowfall Basket is no exception. It combines an ivory snowflake design with a pewter gray stain background, top band, and oval board bottom. Pewter gray was one of the last stains introduced by Longaberger. Two lids are included with the set. The Pewter Lid has a natural inlaid star design and a very glossy slick finish. The Whitewashed Lid is plain and has a normal finish. Each has the Longaberger logo impression on back. Basket set was briefly displayed and then stored safely in its original box.
