These were part of the Longaberger Pumpkin Series of Baskets. The Large and Little Pumpkin Baskets were from 1997 and the Small was from 1996. This set is outfitted with Fall Foliage Fabric liners and lids, includes one Pumpkin tie on from 1997 and plastic protectors. They are adorable for decoration, work beautifully as functional pieces on the buffet for pumpkin dip with ginger snaps, bread or to hold cut flowers. I personally liked having a set to hold all of the Halloween candy when the neighborhood children would stop by. Now my set adorns the mantle during the fall season. Sizes: The Large Pumpkin measures 11.25 round by 9 high (available to hostesses only). The Little Pumpkin measures 5.75 round by 4.25 high. The Small Pumpkin measures 7.25 round by 5.25 high. All baskets feature orange trim strip, along with orange shoestring weave on the bottom with Warm Brown splints across the rest of the basket. The lids feature a wooden handle made to resemble the handle of a pumpkin. The baskets are in very good condition. They have no broken splints, stains or chips. The Longaberger Company, Dresden Ohio, created handwoven baskets out of hardwood maple sourced from the US, pottery, hand-forged wrought iron and other items for over forty years, from 1973 to 2018. Longaberger baskets were handwoven baskets and initialed by the artisan who created them. At the height of their business, the company employed over 4,000 weavers and 70,000 home sales consultants. As a consultant for over 20 years, I have a great deal of inventory that was either stored or used for display purposes.
