2009 Longaberger John Deere Holiday Basket Set. Longaberger and John Deere were an exciting combination for collectors. Imagine adding fabric with snowy scenes! And red cardinal birds! With big green tractors! Longaberger’s John Deere Holiday Basket Set was the only collaboration offered at Christmas time and one of only four John Deere Baskets. The Holiday Basket is very dark green and features. An especially useful rectangular shape. Complete with a WoodCrafts Lid to neatly cover the contents. Special tractor tack covers on the yellow-on-ivory tack strip contrast well against the dark green stain. Longaberger partnered with John Deere to create four baskets available to everyone and a few more exclusive baskets that could be made at events they held together. The Holiday Basket was the last John Deere Set offered to all. I sometimes receive questions about stain colors. This stain is very dark green. It is not black, blue, or brown. It is the darkest green stain I ever saw Longaberger use, personally. Use the zoom feature on all photos. John Deere print fabric has snowy scenes with John Deere tractors accented with beautiful red cardinals in snowy trees. The fabric Liner has a nice corded top edge and will need the plastic Protector over it to hold it upright and look its best. Dark green Wood Crafts Lid has a square wooden knob in matching green stain. Lid can be used with the stand-up fabric Liner and Protector in the basket. Pewter Tie-On combines Longaberger and John Deere and has dark green satin ribbon to attach. Set was briefly displayed and is in great condition. What a great gift for a young farm family.
