1997 Longaberger Holiday Hostess Red Snowflake Basket Set. Longaberger’s 1997 Snowflake Basket was very popular, and this larger Holiday Hostess version of it works wonderfully with it. You will love this basket’s big size and enjoy using the unique 3-level Divided Protector Set to organize anything from snacks or items for a picnic to craft supplies. Snowflakes are a popular item, until they start falling, and this big Snowflake is very sweet–the six-sided shape is unique, and it holds a lot! The bottom of the basket is especially unusual, if you can find a use that shows it. Longaberger offered a Holiday Hostess Basket annually for years, usually a larger version of the Christmas Collection Basket. This one has a red trim strip on the Basket’s top band and larger red chain weave midway down the basket, with smaller green shoestring weave on each side. Over-edge Traditional Holly fabric Liner has a generous self-fabric ruffle and nicely-finished openings with Velcro to fasten neatly around the basket’s swinging wooden handle. Liner is in original zip bag in good displayed condition. The nice chintz fabric’s white background and vivid red and green print are beautiful. The plastic Protector Set has three independent levels that stack nicely and can also sit out on a counter or other surface well to serve or organize. One layer has a long section across the middle with another section on each side, another has six triangular sections, and the bottom open layer protects the bottom few inches of the basket, with a small ledge molded in on two sides so it holds up the next Protector section. Think of all the fun things you can do with these! Basket is in great shape with a few small dark marks on the outside in two different places, probably where it rubbed against wrought iron. These might be erasable and are not distracting but have been considered in the great price on this nice Set. Use zoom feature to see these and any other issues. WoodCrafts Lid with red wooden knob is in good displayed condition. The Lid has a few scratches that are not striking and might be repaired with a stain marker like those available for furniture repair. These small issues have already been considered in pricing.
