There was lots of Longaberger excitement going in 1998, and this striking basket available only to Collectors Club members in April 1998 celebrated 25 years of Longaberger. Not only is this basket a useful size and shape, it makes a very patriotic flag with red and blue weaves in flag formation. The oval pewter tag was also unique, with “Longaberger 25th Anniversary Collectors Club Edition” and a red, white, and blue flag design background. Wooden Lid was made by Basket Accessories in Akron, PA and would fit any Magazine Basket. Its round wooden knob is painted to match the Old Glory fabric design. The knob has a brown spot shown up-close in a photo. It might have been rubbed or for some reason didn’t take the paint. It isn’t distracting. Old Glory fabric Liner has wonderful pockets that will need the plastic Protector over it to support it and look its best. The many pockets of all sizes will let you organize all sorts of craft items or create a traveling desk. The Basket, Liner, pottery Tie-On, Lid, and Protector are all in good gently-used condition. Felt dots have been added to the Basket’s bottom to avoid scratching surfaces. Please use zoom feature on all photos.
