The Pacific Basket represents unique weaving attributes used in the fishing industry in the Pacific coastal towns. The Pacific Basin American Indians of the Northwest wove many types of open weave baskets. They were typically designed to collect clams and would allow them to be rinsed by letting the sandy water run out of the baskets. The Basket is beautiful filled with sand and a variety of shells.
