Inspired by urns popular in the 19th century, Longaberger’s Collectors Club Compote Basket is intricately woven using fine weave to create a beautiful, soft silhouette. It features a solid maple pedestal bases used rarely, for special baskets such as awards and Club exclusives. Longaberger’s Collectors Club showcased American craftspeople and their lifestyles. Membership in the Club accessed exclusive baskets such as this one that were not available to the general public. What a thoughtful gift for a friend or great addition to your own collection! Compote Basket and plastic Protector were briefly displayed and since have been stored safely in original box. The box has a lighter mark at one corner that appears to have been wet. This does not show through to the inside of the box or other sides and certainly has not affected the basket. Use zoom feature on all photos. The Compote Basket is 13 1/4″ diameter by 6 3/4″ h.
